Kanishak is an architect who feels that imagination and creativity are very important in this field. He also adds that understanding the client’s needs is also a skill of great value for an architect.

Kanishak Suhalka is an Architect and owns his own firm by the name Red Bricks Architects. He says that his firm provides services like Engineering and Architectural designs and renovations.

Kanishak was born and brought up in Udaipur. He says that his family also hails from a construction background. Kanishak says that he was also interested in cricket but gave up the sport to focus on his studies. His father wanted him to get out of his comfort zone and hence Kanishak went to Mumbai and did his graduation from Bombay University.

From 2012 to 2017 Kanishak pursued his Architecture studies and then came back to Udaipur. Here, he worked under an architect to gain experience and practical knowledge and then started his own firm with the support of his father and uncle.

Kanishak says that to be an architect one needs good imagination and should know the ability to deal with clients. He also feels that one should have an interest in the field they are working in.

When asked about the importance of education and experience, Kanishak says that both are important in life. Education is like a foundation on which one’s career is built. He says that getting a good education is a must and then we should work on earning good experience as well.

Talking about his inspirations, Kanishak says that his father and his uncle are his inspirations. Kanishak says that they both have been hard-working and have struggled a lot in life. He is also inspired by his grandfather as he started everything from scratch and built his career over it.

Kanishak opines that we should first try to recognize a field that interests us and then pursue it.

The quote that inspires him is, ‘If you choose a job you love, you will not have to work your entire life.’

Advising the youth, Kanishak says that they should work for nation-building and choose a field of their interest and also gain in-depth knowledge of it.
